Most SMM panel owners believe SEO only works if you target global keywords from day one. So they ignore their home country and try to rank for highly competitive international terms immediately.
That usually leads to slow growth, high costs, and frustration.
GrowFollows chose a different path. Instead of fighting global competitors at the start, they focused only on Bangladesh. Once they built strong rankings and steady traffic locally, they expanded into international markets.
The result by December 2025:
- 3,200 organic visitors per month
- 75,100 clicks in the last six months
- 1,100 ranking keywords
- Zero paid ads
- Consistent month-by-month growth
This case study breaks down exactly what was done, step by step.
About the Client

Website: growfollows.com
CEO: Ihsan Mahbub
Industry: SMM Panel
Project Duration: May 2022 – December 2025 (44 months)

If you want to understand the bigger picture of how SEO is evolving in the country, you can explore this guide on Bangladesh SEO industry growth. Their customers include freelancers, agencies, small businesses, and resellers looking for affordable bulk services.
When Ihsan Mahbub contacted me in early 2022, the website was active but invisible on Google.
Traffic mostly came from:
- Direct visits
- Word of mouth
- Facebook groups
- Paid promotions
- Organic search was almost non-existent.
Ihsan’s idea was clear from the beginning:
First win Bangladesh. Then scale worldwide.
The Starting Point: April 2022
We began with a full SEO audit and competitive analysis.
To better understand how SEO is structured at a fundamental level, we aligned the entire plan with the core principles explained in types of SEO.
Here were the numbers in April 2022:
- Authority Score: 17
Before taking action, we reviewed domain metrics and benchmarking tools similar to the ones covered in this detailed list of domain authority checker tools. - Organic Traffic: 0
- Organic Keywords: 7
- Referring Domains: 864
- Backlinks: 7,300
- Paid Traffic: 0
Despite having 864 referring domains, the site had zero meaningful rankings. Most backlinks were low-impact and not supporting target pages. The content was thin. Keywords were not mapped properly. Internal linking was weak. But there was opportunity. The domain already had some history and link signals. With the right structure, we could activate that potential.
What Was Holding GrowFollows Back?
After the audit, we identified five specific problems.
1. No Bangladesh Positioning
The website did not mention Bangladesh clearly. There was no localized messaging, no Bangla support content, and no reference to local payment methods.
We also noticed that payment trust signals were missing, which is why we aligned the structure with best practices from payment gateways in Bangladesh.
This is a common issue discussed in-depth in Bangladesh local SEO mistakes. There was no localized messaging, no Bangla support content, and no reference to local payment methods.
Yet Bangladesh was supposed to be the main market.
2. Generic Service Pages
Each service page looked similar to competitors. Short descriptions. Repeated phrases. No structured keyword targeting.
There was no reason for Google to rank them higher than other SMM panels.
3. No Informational Content
The blog section did not exist. That meant they were missing traffic from people searching questions like:

Best SMM panel for local business
Is SMM panel safe?
Informational keywords are often easier to rank and build authority.
4. Technical Weakness
The website had:
- Slow image loading
- Weak mobile UX
- No structured internal linking strategy. To fix this properly, we built a cluster-based structure inspired by this guide on importance of content clusters for SEO success.
- Poor anchor text distribution
- These technical gaps limited crawl efficiency and ranking power.
5. Mixed Target Messaging
The homepage tried to speak to individuals, agencies, and resellers at the same time.
Without clear audience focus, conversions and keyword clarity suffered.
Our Strategy: Two Clear Phases
Instead of rushing into global competition, we created a structured roadmap.
Phase 1: Bangladesh SEO (May 2022 – December 2023)
For the first 20 months, we ignored global keywords entirely. The focus was only Bangladesh.
Step 1: Local Keyword Mapping
We targeted search terms like:
- This approach worked because local keywords are far easier to dominate when you follow the exact framework explained in why local SEO is a game-changer for Bangladeshi businesses.
- SMM panel Bangladesh
- Cheap SMM panel BD
- Instagram followers Bangladesh
- YouTube views Bangladesh
- These keywords had lower competition and strong buying intent.
Step 2: Rewriting All Core Pages
Every service page was rewritten with:
- Location-specific headings
- Clear value propositions
- Bangla content blocks
- Mentions of bKash, Nagad, and Rocket
This helped increase conversion trust because Bangladeshi buyers are heavily influenced by local payment availability, as explained here: payment gateways in Bangladesh. FAQ sections targeting local queries. This immediately improved keyword relevance.
Step 3: Launching the Blog
We built a content calendar focused on Bangladesh search behavior.
We designed it using a structured topic model similar to the one described in importance of content clusters.
Topics included:
- Social media marketing tips for Bangladeshi businesses
- How freelancers in Bangladesh can grow Instagram
- Affordable marketing strategies for local brands
- Each post internally linked back to relevant service pages.
Step 4: Technical Cleanup
We improved:
- Page speed
- We also implemented proper schema and structured elements following best practices from semantic markup.
- Image compression
- Mobile responsiveness
- URL structure
- Internal linking architecture
- This strengthened crawlability and user experience.
Step 5: Local Link Building
We secured mentions from:
- To maintain authority and avoid spam link signals, we followed long-term SEO discipline similar to what’s discussed in SEO challenges for Bangladeshi businesses.
- Bangladesh business directories
- Local tech websites
- Marketing forums
- Niche blogs
- By late 2023, GrowFollows ranked on page one for multiple Bangladesh-based
- SMM queries.
- Local traffic was consistent and growing.
Phase 2: Global Expansion (January 2024 – December 2025)
With a stable Bangladesh presence, we moved outward.
International Keyword Targeting
We began optimizing for:
- Best SMM panel
- Cheapest Instagram followers
- YouTube views SMM panel
- TikTok followers provider
- These were higher competition but now the domain had stronger relevance.
Expanding Content Strategy
We added in-depth articles about:
- SMM panel comparisons
- Social media algorithm updates
- Reseller guides
- Industry trends
- This attracted global readers from India, Pakistan, the UK, the US, and other regions.
Service Page Optimization for Global Users
Pages were updated to highlight:
- Worldwide delivery
- Cryptocurrency payments
- Multi-currency support
- 24/7 international customer service
Algorithm Monitoring
After each major Google update, we analyzed:
- We tracked algorithm shifts based on patterns explained in this guide on Google core update.
- Traffic shifts
- Ranking volatility
- Page performance
- Adjustments were made when necessary to maintain stability.
Voice Search Optimization
In 2025, we structured content to answer natural-language questions clearly.
This helped visibility in AI-driven results and voice queries.
By December 2025, GrowFollows ranked for 1,100 keywords globally.
Performance Results After 44 Months
- Google Search Console (Last 6 Months)
- We also monitored tracking errors and indexing issues similar to the ones mentioned in Google Search Console bug.
- 75,100 clicks
- 1,290,000 impressions
- 5.8% average CTR
- 22.8 average position
- That equals roughly 12,500 organic clicks per month.
- No ads. No paid campaigns.
- This was a real example of organic growth vs paid ads working at scale.
December 2025 Overview
- Authority Score: 17
- Organic Traffic: 3,200/month
- Organic Keywords: 1,100
- Referring Domains: 864
- Backlinks: 7,300
- Paid Traffic: 0
- From 7 keywords to 1,100.
- From 0 traffic to 3,200 monthly visitors.
- Importantly, authority score remained 17.
This proves the growth came mainly from better structure, content depth, and keyword alignment—not aggressive link buying.
